420 MONKS Part With Bassist, Cancel South Carolina, Tennessee Gigs
May 8, 2002Atlanta's 420 MONKS, featuring former STUCK MOJO frontman Bonz, ex-CHUM (Puerto Rico) drummer Carlos Torres, guitarist John B., and former PUBLIC ENEMY touring DJ DJ Lord, were forced to cancel their shows in Columbia, South Carolina and Johnson City, Tennessee this weekend after parting ways with bassist Dave Saunders. The band, who are currently working with a fill-in bassist, have been working hard getting the newest member comfortable with the material and at this point in time don't feel comfortable in giving the fans the 110% that they deserve. They will therefore continue practicing as much as possible while working with the bassist and are concentrating on making their next live appearances on May 24th at the Al Rosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio and on May 25th at The Monkey in Huntington, West Virginia. More dates for June and July will shortly be announced.
